• Playa Escondida: which means “hidden beach” in Spanish, is a picturesque and secluded beach located on the southern coast of Banderas Bay in Puerto Vallarta. It is a hidden gem that is only accessible by boat, which adds to the sense of adventure and exclusivity.

  To reach the beach, you can take a short boat ride from the nearby fishing village of Boca de Tomatlan, the boat ride itself is a scenic and enjoyable experience, as you will pass through lush jungle foliage and crystal-clear waters.

  Once you arrive at Playa Escondida, you will be greeted by a stunning crescent-shaped beach with soft, white sand and crystal-clear waters. The beach is surrounded by lush greenery and towering cliffs, which add to the sense of seclusion and privacy.

• Playa Quimixto: This private beach is located south of Puerto Vallarta and is accessible only by boat. It is known for its pristine white sand and crystal-clear waters, as well as its charming fishing village that goes by the same name Quimixto.

• Playa La Lancha: This secluded beach is located just before you drive into Punta de Mita. If you’re a surfer, this is the place for you. Conveniently located right next to the Oxxo, making it extremely easy if you want to surf and need a quick board rental. La Lancha is known for its crystal-clear waters and white sand, but not so much its shade cover. Bring an umbrella to be safe if you plan on staying there for the day.

• Playa Mayto: is a secluded beach located approximately 2 hours south of Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s Pacific coast. It’s an unspoiled and uncrowded beach, with pristine turquoise waters and soft, white sand. Since it’s more of a commitment to get here, the wait is well worth it. A lot less people come here so the beach is often not crowded, giving you a more serene environment to enjoy nature. If you’re up for a trip away from the city for a night or two, this is a great recommendation!
